What is PGVault?

PGVault is a backup service for your databases and storage — delivered to your own Google Drive.

PGVault automatically runs scheduled backups of your PostgreSQL databases and S3-compatible object storage, then places the archive files into a private folder in your Google Drive. You connect your databases and storage destinations once, pick a schedule and retention policy, and PGVault handles the rest — no servers to babysit, no browser tabs to keep open. The permission we ask for is narrow: PGVault uses Google Drive only to store the backup files you configure.

Encrypted by default

Connection URLs stay encrypted in your metadata store and never appear in worker logs.

Your Drive, your files

PGVault asks for the narrow Drive permission and places archives in a private PGVault folder.

Schedules that stick

A dedicated worker owns the long-running work, so a browser tab never has to stay open.
